Description
An artistic view of what one may see at many festivals and markets celebrating Italian culture. The Italian horn is used as protection from the "evil eye" of jealousy and envy. It can usually be found as a pendant made out of gold or sterling silver, with some older depictions made out of red coral. along with the ubiquitous plastic pieces made to hang in windows, doorways, and from the rear-view mirrors of vehicles.
Growing up in Greenwich Village, NY, these were a common sight hanging in the cars parked along the narrow streets, and as gold and silver pendants on neighborhood residents. Great times!
